PER GLI OPERATORI SANITARI: Nel caso dei neonati prematuri, per valutare l’andamento del peso non è determinante l’età cronologica, bensì l’età corretta, calcolata in base alle settimane di anticipo rispetto al termine previsto. Tracciare questa curva a mano è un’operazione laboriosa. LACTDOC -Premie lo fa automaticamente per voi e traccia entrambe le curve dopo che avete inserito la settimana di gravidanza al momento del parto, nonché le date e i valori di peso.

Le curve vengono rappresentate nelle Fenton 2025 Preterm Growth Charts nelle settimane precedenti la data prevista per il parto e fino a 2 mesi dopo tale data; successivamente vengono riportate secondo gli standard dell’OMS, lo stesso vale per la lunghezza e la circonferenza cranica.

LACTDOC -Premie è stato pubblicato nel 2014 e da allora ha dato prova della sua efficacia nella pratica clinica. Nella revisione del 2026, le curve precedenti sono state sostituite dalle curve di crescita per neonati prematuri di Fenton 2025 pubblicate nel 2025 e la rappresentazione dell’età, dell’aumento di peso e degli obiettivi di crescita è stata rielaborata sulla base delle esperienze maturate nella pratica clinica. In questa occasione, LACTDOC -Premie è stato tradotto anche in italiano.

È necessario che Excel sia installato sul proprio computer, sia su Windows che su Mac. LACTDOC -Premie rappresenta quindi un prezioso strumento per l’assistenza ai neonati prematuri in ospedale e a casa, in particolare anche per la consulenza sull’allattamento al seno.

FOR PROFESSIONALS: The Program LACTDOC for Documentation and Weight Monitoring of Breastfed Babies helps to document the individual growth curves of babies with minimal effort. Enter gender, date and the corresponding weight, length and head circumference - the program LACTDOC (for Excel) automatically plots the individual growth curve into the WHO Standards (see the video Plotting weight curves with LACTDOC). LACTDOC allows for entering data both in gram and pounds, in cm and inches. The baby’s weight curve can be labeled with legends that depict the feeding method and the most important measures. The film describes the long way of a family with a baby with oral clefts – including breastfeeding, pumping, finger-feeding, the Supplementary Nursing System (SNS) and various other devices until he was able to breastfeed without any aids after surgery of the clefts. The film addresses expectant parents, parents who unexpectedly had a baby with a cleft, grandparents and professionals.

When you want to breastfeed but your baby needs a supplementation giving this milk during breastfeeding is closest to exclusive breastfeeding. But how do you do this practically? The parent-information with many color photos describes tried and tested instructions for breastfeeding with the supplementary nursing system. Short reports from mothers help you to find out whether the SNS would make sense for you.

With the SNS, the baby receives milk from the breast and additional formula or pumped milk through a thin silicon tube. This encourages the baby to suck longer and more intensively at the breast. You save time, milk production will be stimulated and weight gain improved. So the SNS helps many nursing pairs to achieve a breakthrough and quite a few achieve exclusive breastfeeding again.
